  Dr Tamhane is the most amazing ear specialist of all time. I have been seeing him since I was 6 for grommet surgery and as an adult for several years for tinnitus and ear wax issues. He is very gentle, kind, compassionate and is excellent at what he does. I am very grateful to him and highly highly recommend him.

  Saw Dr Tamhane twice due to persistent tinnitus experienced for the past 2 months. On the second appointment he stated that my hearing was perfect post assessment and my tinnitus is permanent then rushed me out the door. So many questions unanswered and no assistance or guidance in managing such a debilitating issue. Will be pursuing another ENT.

  Cant fix a nose or breathing issue if his life depended on it , had a surgery done by him when i was younger and has left me with far worse breathing problems as an adult when i last went back he decided he wanted to test me for allergies and make me try different nose sprays for my sinus and when i tried to explain the seriousness of my breathing he turned around and said surgery was his last resort for me . Dont waste ur time or money or health on someone like him .

  In short - will not recommend and will avoid.
  
  Staff there is great - friendly and approachable. No issues there.
  
  The issue is with the doctor himself and we have had 2 unpleasant experience with him (shouldn't have even gone back the 2nd time).
  
  1st was for a tonsillectomy for an adult - he just had a very brief look with very minimal questions on history, etc and said to immediately schedule in a tonsillectomy.. didn't take the time to carefully consider and also provide information / options.
  
  2nd time was for a toddler - went in for a consult but came out with him already carried out a minor procedure on his nostril. Nothing was explained beforehand besides wanting to apply 'medicine'.. and no information provided after as well. We only realised what happened after noticing a bruise like mark and called the office to ask - was then just told it is 'just' silver nitrate.
  
  Upon reading online, it was then apparent that the doctor did some cauterisation whilst on the chair.
  
  Zero informed consent.
  
  Never again.

  I went to the doctor and was tested for airborne allergies, when I was there for my food allergies to be investigated. This investigation was dismissed and I was directed to buy a book that she recommended and to avoid the foods that I told her I suspected I was allergic to. I left feeling that the appointment was a waste of time and expensive.
